Boy it's been forever!

So very much!!! I swear it!

I know most have been wandering what happened to her?

We hope she didn't quit blogging, & what's next for

this artsygirl and the blog...All great questions,

I am going to attempt to answer..

So much has happened in the last year. I know a lot of my closer bloggy friends
have been able to keep up with me through various social media networks
(ie: facebook, instagram and even via twitter), so it's been nice to not loose touch
of the world I know here, and how much beauty lies in the friendships
I have with the wonderful ladies all around..

I can't believe how long it's been, but I DO believe I miss my space and
coming back today feels SO fulfilling and wonderful.. Thanks for all the
wonderful encouragementsthat I have received over time. It's been
a long journey of self discovery, and adjustments,
but the timing is right so here I am..

WHERE HAVE I BEEN!?!?
I've been busy snapping away! I'm beyond grateful for my photography
business and all the amazing clients, and friends I've made within the last year.
It's been a beautiful picturesque journey that I can't describe/put into words
much more than HAPPINESS and pure fulfilment on every beautiful
level I imagined.. You can see more of my work via my

MY STRUGGLES WITH BLOGGING

Over the last year or so, I've found it really hard to maintain my blog, I haven't
had time to post anything that meant much to me, or create for that matter
to share in happiness. I've struggled with giving up on blogging as a whole
to focus more on my life, career moves and most of all trying to fit in
writing alongside our busy household.. It all just became too
overwhelming and as hard as I tried to keep up!

I had to let go for a while and allow myself to focus away for a bit; until my
heart was back here and I could share freely and enjoy the things I
actually shared about with you all.. I lost touch of that a while ago, I felt
out of place blogging, and almost felt as if I was always under a fire drill
to come up with posts, or create for that matter, things that I wasn't
into, or loved, simply to keep afloat with here.

I really hated that feeling, and eventually it all caught up to me walking away
and taking this long break I embarked upon a few months ago.. I can't express
enough apologies for walking off, I hope everyone that has been a reader,
but most of all a FRIEND can return and join me once again..

Trying To Move Back In...
I'm back in blog land.. With no promises, no gimmicks, but with hope, with fun
aspirations of growth, and with the excitement to get to once again connect,
and share with you all freely with no time agenda's, and most of all having
FUN while at it.. I'm certain I will at least blog once a week, I'm certain
you will see more photo shoot and picture stories along the way than
regular crafty posts; I can guarantee melt downs, lend me your ear's,
and how do you's(?), BUT most of all, some laughter and
sharing from the depths of my heart...

I hope you all can jump in with me for some new thrill's and fun times ahead.

Pin'Inspirational Thursday With ~ Micki..

Another week has flown by. We had a complete fake out Spring day Monday.

It was a gorgeous, sunny day with temps in the low 80s. Sadly, the weekend is

bringing us cooler weather and more rain. I guess this means another

weekend will go by without my planting a garden.

We had more than 140 projects linked up this week, which is just completely

awesome. I am truly inspired each week by your projects.

The features this week are ones that are just close to my heart...things I would totally

do in a heartbeat if I could. I hope you take the time to check out the projects,

The first feature is an idea I totally wish I would have thought of. After my ill-fated

attempt at cake pops, I think I may have to start making

Sewing Barefoot's "Fake" Pops instead!

As someone who has sensitivities and allergies to chemicals used in cleaning

products, I really love it when someone spreads the word about making

your own cleaners! Sweet Parrish Place shares some

"Back to Basics" with using vinegar around the house.

Our final feature for the week is ChicBy Tab's Mint dresser. I'm loving the

mint and white combo! It's totally fresh and gives

a very dated piece a great new look.

Did the month come in like a lamb or a lion for you? It was a lamb with a bad temper for us but I'm still hoping that it means we'll be getting spring and SOON. I've chosen my plants for the this year's garden and am hoping to get my city farm up and running soon. Cabin fever has truly set in. We've been treating ourselves to a fair amount of treat including this one that I'll be sharing tomorrow.

hostesses have been up to? Micki wowed me with her adorable Easter Hat

Christine (who I'm ACTUALLY going to meet next week) was

beyond fab with her Apricot Canapes. I want these RIGHT now.

AND Marilyn's blog has been a little quiet lately but if you follow her on instagram

(and why wouldn't you?) you will have seen that her photography has gone well beyond the hobby stage and now she's in the pro category. You truly need to check out her amazing pics.

I know, right?! Thank you so much for all of you that joined last week. It is just such a treat to

see your amazing projects. We truly appreciate you taking the time out to do so. Did

you have a chance to visit lots of folks? I think I made it to everyone and totally

fell in love with: Half Baked Harvests, Sweet Potato Parmesan Tater Tots.

I made the mistake of first eyeing them when I was at work

and just about starved the rest of the day.

Crystelle Boutique had a lovely Sock Monkey tutorial and a

gorgeous message for us all to keep in mind too.

And did you not also love 'Preparing For Your First Tattoo' by Our Mini Family?

Even if you don't have one or would ever have a tattoo I guarantee you will have this conversation with a young person in your life at some point. GREAT advice and a great resource to hang

onto. I teach grade eight and know I'll be pulling this article out often. Not only are you

I'm in a bit of a winter slump. There's not much to look forward to over the next couple of weeks. But then, it gets crazy. So much will go on in the space of three weeks I can hardly believe it. Like what?

I'll be meeting a bloggy friend for reals. Her name is Jane and she kind of rocks. Do you know her?
My in-laws are visiting from the UK.
Spring Break begins.
My brother and his family will visit.
The hubs and I will go on a little getaway to San Fran.
Spring Break ends.
We hold an Easter Egg Hunt and celebrate spring with an Easter Dinner.
J turns 5.

Yes, all of that will happen in the span of 3 weeks. So you can see why things feel a little blah right now. I want to get a move on with all the fun and instead I'm just sitting here with nothing to do but type (which reminds me, I'd better spend some time pre-typing for that crazy 3 weeks coming up when I won't have time to breathe, let alone write). To get over my blahs I'm focusing on some excitingly easy side dishes. The idea is that I can make a lazy dinner (throw some chicken breasts in the oven, maybe steam some broccoli) and put more energy into one interesting side dish to add pizzaz to dinner and hopefully lift my slump. So my side dishes will help chase away the blahs. What else will do the trick?

Jane's grapefruit marmalade (yeah, she made that and then put it into cute jars herself. And then she turned it into a pie. See. I told you: She rocks.
Micki's Iron Chef Mom Nutella challenge. Seriously, if you have a Nutealla recipe to share, you must go link up. Now. If you don't have a recipe to share, you must go there and drool at other people's recipes. Now.

Nothing says Spring like Robin's Eggs. And it would totally unslump me to finally try my hand at making marshmallows. The two come together for these adorable Marshmallow Robin's Eggs by Twigg Studios. The coolest thing is that dish full of flour is indented using an egg. These indents are then used as the mould for the marshmallows. Awesome, right?

And finally, an extra excitingly easy side dish to add to my unblahing repertoire: Balsamic Red Potatoes by Made In A Day.
