Pan Seared Garlic Chicken Thighs
Artsy Ingredients Needed
*Chicken Thighs (or parts of choice)
*Garlic (whole pieces, crushed)
*Garlic Salt
*Salt & Pepper
*Chicken Broth
*Balsamic Vinegar
*Rosemary
*Green Onions
*Lime Juice or Fresh Lime
*Onions
*Honey (not necessary but adds a lil more sweetness)
Preparation
To begin, wash your chicken and smear a bit of fresh lime juice
all around (it really adds a nice flavor to it even after cooking)
Season your chicken with your mix of dry ingredients
(Salt, Pepper, Garlic salt)
Heat a large skillet over a medium high heat. When hot, swirl with two
tablespoons olive oil and brown chicken on all sides. Remove chicken
to a plate, and saute onions and crushed garlic cloves until deeply bronzed.
Deglaze pan with 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar. Stir in some rosemary,
pepper, 1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar, 1/2 cup chicken stock and honey.
Bring to a boil and add thighs back to pan. Reduce heat to low, cover
and simmer vigorously for 20-30 minutes, turning several times, until
chicken is cooked through and sauce has concentrated.
Remove from heat, garnish with green onions & dinner is ready!!!!
Serve with your choice of side dish (I used couscous).
The whole process took 45mins-1hr.
