....................................................................

My name is Rose and I'm a mom of 3 beautiful kids and a wife to an
amazing husband who works hard so I can stay at home.  My blog is
A Rosie Sweet Home, where I share whatever makes me happy,
which usually is crafts, DIY tutorial, recipes, heart felt stories, and
things I do with my family.  I want my blog to be a comfortable and
inviting place to visit.  I love pretty things, going thrift store shopping,
and any thing artistic.  I am excited about every visitor to my blog.

This garland was inspired by this wreath from Martha Stewart Crafts.
Fall wreath
Below is my version.  I love this wreath so much that I wanted to make a garland to go
with it.  I will be showing you how I did it.  I also have included 2 templates you
can download {the same ones I used}, you can also go to
Martha Stewart to down load her leaf template.

What you will need:
An old book
All purpose glue
Wire cutter
Floral wire
Leaf template (You can down my load Oak Leaf  here  or Maple leaf  here }
Twine
The most important thing is patience.  This project takes a long time, you may want to
take a couple days to make it. If you happen to own a Silhouette Cameo or a Cricut
this project will be much faster.  For Silhouette owners you can save the leaf
templates as a PING file and load them into your Silhouette.
First place some glue on one book page then add a wire clipping about 5-6
inches long to the bottom half of the page.  Make sure 2 inches or more are
sticking out the bottom, then place another page on top, smooth out the
glue and let dry you want to make about 50 leaves for a 3 foot garland.

Now you will trace out the template of your leaf lining up the stem with the wire and cut it out.

If you want the leaves to last then spray them with a clear sealer.
Then you cut the length of twine you want to use for your garland.

Take the wire end and wrap it around the twine.
Layer your leaves in a staggered pattern all the way down the twine.

Now you are done!  Hope you have fun with this fall craft.
