Girl Talk...What's Your GO TO CHICK FLICK?!!!

Happy Friday Friends!!
Any fun weekend plans..?
I am soo thrilled to get a chance to hang with some of my best of friends
this weekend. With the children, trying to find ANY TIME with my girls KID FREE is
always a FAIL!!. We always simply plan around to have a fun kid night of "lets hope they
quietly sit and watch this movie / fall asleep soon so we can sneak away and share stories,
gossip and all that much needed fun jazz in peace.. LOL! But tonight, it's special, we get
to be by ourselves, catch up, have a few not so virgin drinks and kick back a bit!
*What's YOUR favorite Girlie Flick To Watch..?*
Help us decide on a great flick to catch!
I really want this!!! Would be TOTALLY FUN to listen to!
We all decided we haven't really caught a great oldie but goodie chick flick in a
while and part of tonight is going to be dedicated to that (that's if WE all can get past
10pm watching a movie without falling asleep<--do you find that the older you
get, the less you can hang..? Ugh, It never fails, I'm OUT movie wise by 11:30!!
SMH!)! We plan on SERIOUSLY drawing on the face of the fallen chica who
falls asleep first! haaha! (wait, that plan was far from unanimous, haha, we
KNOW who it will be and she's in for a fun prank!<--I know, what are
FOUR..? SMH, it's happening anyway.. LOL!) I am SOO excited about
the weekend and would LOVE your help in picking a movie to catch!
Care to suggest your FAV CHICK FLICK Pweease??
I just watched Bridesmaid and I L O V E D it.. it's completely hilarious!
Annie: This is the first time I've seen you look ugly, and that makes me happy!

I laughed SO hard and really enjoyed it.. Great movie to catch... I don't
necessarily want a good cry movie, but if we pick it out the hat, then it's going to
be a long night.. I can't wait to see what you all sugest.. THANKS so much for
being a part of our evening to come.. NAME YOUR MOVIE!!
...................................................
Wishing you an amazing Friday and a GREAT weekend ahead!!!

Good morning friends... Wishing you a HAPPY mid-week.
......................................
................My Sweet little Valentines!!!
I ADORE my children...
I LOVE that they actually enjoy spending time together.
I enjoy watching them play together, lay back and catch a movie,
or run around the house laughing and playing together. They always
remind me that no matter what the times may bring, we always have each
other and I can look upon them and be reminded that I'm blessed
and thankful to have such wonderful loves in my life!
......They may grow and leave my nest someday,
but no matter how far, they'll forever hold a special place in my heart....

Artsy 'Valentine' Guest..The Lovely Lisa's Craft Blog..

Good morning lovely friends stopping in today. Happy Tuesday.. I am VERY excited today
to share a lovely bloggy friend with you.. The amazingly crafty Lisa from Lisa's Craft Blog..
..................................................
Lisa is an amazing crafty inspiration, and a wonderful navy wife with such a lovely heart.
Her story is beautiful, inspirational and one of a kind. I adore her blog and I am truly
honored to have her stop in today. Hope you enjoy getting to know a bit about Lisa!
..................A Bit About Lisa
PhotobucketMy name is Lisa and crafting keeps me sane! No,
really, it does! I'm married to a US Navy Chief who
treats me like gold. We live on a military base in
Maryland with our 16-year-old cat, Willy. I'm
fortunate enough to have most of our spare
bedroom dedicated to my crafting addiction...err,
I mean hobby! While I enjoy many different kinds
of crafts and have supplies for just about any
kind of common craft you can name, I can't help
but have a few favorites. I love shiny things, so
making beaded jewelry and accessories is
definitely one of my all time favorites!
Recently I've discovered the creative freedom
in creating mixed-media and altered art projects
and can see this becoming a common craft of mine.
Both poly-clay crafts and all paper-crafts can also be included among my top craft categories. If you can
count blogging and photography as crafts, then they would definitely be in my list of favorites too!!
...........................................
Lisa's blog features SO many fun and creative crafts and so much more.. Please
certainly stop in and be inspired.. I AM Please join me in welcoming Lisa here today..
......................................................
Hi there!!  I'm Lisa and I blog over at Lisa's Craft Blog!!
I'm so excited to be here today and am so grateful to Marilyn
for letting me share this project with you all!!

Today, I'm going to show you how I made my TP Tube Valentines, which is actually a
version of Marilyn's Upcycled TP Roll Burlap Stuffed Ornaments.  She originally
shared her tutorial here at The Artsy Girl Connection back in November.
I loved Marilyn's project so much that I wanted to make my own version!!
I especially loved her use of burlap and definitely had to incorporate that into my version!!
I figured that since Valentine's Day is coming up, I would make a
small Valentine gift box rather than an ornament.
Let's get to the tutorial, shall we?!?
SUPPLIES
TP Tubes
Scrapbook paper or cardstock
Burlap
Chipboard or grey-board
Ribbon
Glue
................................................
Step 1: CUT PAPER
Cut pieces of scrapbook paper or cardstock that will completely cover the TP tube.
Note: My pieces were 4.3"x6", but yours may require a different size.
Step 2: COVER ROLLS
Place a 1/2"-1" strip of glue from one opening in the roll to the other.
Line up your paper and press firmly.
Glue the other end of the paper down, making sure the paper is snug against the roll.
Step 3: FLATTEN ROLLS
Flatten the roll with the paper "seam" centered on one side.
Step 4: CUT BURLAP
Cut a 2.5" wide piece of burlap that will wrap all the way
around the roll and have about 3/4" to overlap.
Note: I chose to remove 1-2 strands of the burlap from each of the longer sides.
Step 5: ATTACH BURLAP
Glue one of the shorter sides near the paper seam.
Wrap the burlap around the roll and glue down the other end.
Step 6: ROUND THE ENDS
Round the ends of the rolls as shown above.
Step 7: FOLD ENDS
Fold in the front and back "flaps" on each end of the tube, making sure
the fold is curved as shown above. Once folded, the tube
should look like the photo below...
Step 8: ADD TAGS, FILL, & CLOSE
Cut or punch hearts out of your scrapbook paper or
cardstock and out of chipboard or grey-board.
Glue a paper heart to a chipboard or grey-board heart.
Punch a hole towards the top of the heart.
Fill the box with candies or a small gift and re-close.
Thread a ribbon through the hole in the heart and tie the ribbon
around the pillow box, finishing it off with a bow.
FINISHED!!
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial!! I know I had a blast making these gift boxes!!
These would be great for kids give to their teachers or for adults
to fill with small gifts for their loved ones.
................................................
If you happen to like step-by-step crafty tutorials, I hope you'll stop by
Lisa's Craft Blog because I have many more for you to browse through.
I also host a weekly linky party called "Lisa's Linky List".  I personally
invite you to link up your crafty creations each week!!

If you happen to stop my blog by before January 31st, you can even enter
my Grand Re-Launch Giveaway to try and win one of 3 crafty prize packages that

I want to say "Thank you" to Marilyn for allowing me to share my version of
her great tutorial!!  I've had a great time here at The Artsy Girl Connection, but now
I must head home to Lisa's Craft Blog and give my readers some attention!! hehehe
Thanks for reading!! Until next time...
Isn't she wonderful..? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE her version of the TP roll boxes. So
creative and very pretty. What a lovely idea for a valentine's day gift.. Filled with
