Jane and I have a really great surprise in the works for our Pin'inspiration Party.

It all involves you getting WAY more exposure for your fabulous 

projects and WAY more features... Trust us-it's going to be really fab.

What that means though is that we need to say bye, bye to Saturday's 

party (don't worry, there is a fabulous evil master plan 

for that too) and put everything into Thursday.

It's rather a bitter sweet time for me as around this time last year, we lost a dear 

and loving uncle who really touched me in many ways. It was my first ever 

close death experience, in terms of going through, seeing and experiencing 

those moments that only the Lord can put into words the helplessness, 

faith and hope for recovery you can imagine. I still hang on to memories 

and love, but most of all, hope for a cure for Cancer... Lets all  take a 

moment to take in life today and be thankful for every moment..

Colored Tea Time ... {Star Sugar Cubes...}

Treats For Tea Time!?..Yes Pweease!
* Star Colored.......Sugar Cubes *

We LOVE tea time at home. The kids have been addicted since they where babies.
My mother always used to make them sleepy time, and herbal tea's in the evenings 
and still does when she comes to visit even now! It's really cute. They 
always ask for it and I try to make it a little special when we can have 
those little moments to share. Here's what I made this week!
Star Colored Sugar Cubes
Ingredients Needed
Sugar .........Cookie Sheet
Flat surface (cutting board or flat plate)
Some sealable food storage plastic bags(Ziplock)
Molds (you can great creative, I used stars)
Some rainbow food coloring ~ your choice of colors

Ready..? Set..? Lets Craft Some Tea Time Goodies!
Set all your ingredients out ahead of time. Measure out how much you
want of each colored sugar mold into zip lock bag. Take each bag and 
start your coloring process by adding two to three drops of your color 
to the sugar and shake the bag well to blend. Some food coloring boxes 
come with instructions on how to reach various colors, so you can 
basically obtain any color scheme you want ;))

Once you have your bags of colored sugar, add about 1/8 teaspoon 
of water into each bag of sugar and mix well (I simply shook the 
bags until the mixture was even). The finished product 
should not be too wet, but hold up shape for molding. 


Using a teaspoon, scoop up your now wet colored sugar into your 
molds of choice, press down to fill completely and level off the 
top flat. Continue until all your molds are filled. 

Once your molds are prepared, grab a piece of cookie sheet and lay on a flat 
plate or baking sheet surface. Carefully, lift the surface with the cookie sheet 
over the mold and turn the mold over. Tap the tops of the mold for easy slide 
out and carefully remove atop the now molded sugar shapes. Be careful, all 
might not pop out at a time to tyr not to shift the tops until you are 
certain all are out by carefully peeking underneath.

To fasten up hardening, I set the molds on the oven door (while it laid open)
flat to catch some heat and harden quicker. It was all ready in about 10-15mins!
Super cute, easy and a little fun added to your perfect tea time.. ;)).

I've seen SO many other fun ones around. I have to get more creative
next time around. This was my first time but it was well worth it and fun!
I had enough to wrap up a few and hand it to my neighbor. She LOVED it!
